Additional information regarding Victoria Zardoya's last moments has surfaced. In response to the medical examiner report acquired by TMZ on November 3, authorities revealed that the 20-year-old's blood tested positive for ketamine three months after she died in a fall while touring the Fort Dade ruins in Florida.
The analysis also showed that norketamine, which is created when the body breaks down ketamine, was present in Zardoya's blood sample, which was taken soon after her accident on July 24.
Due to the story, Zardoya's test findings also revealed that the University of Tampa student, who has been best friends with Teresa Giudice's daughter Milania Giudice since childhood, had alcohol and etomidate, a short-acting sedative, in her system.
As reported by TMZ, the medical examiner did not specify how or when the medications got into Zardoya's system or whether they caused her to fall.
According to TMZ, authorities had already established that craniocerebral trauma was the cause of Zardoya's death, which was determined to be an accident. The most recent autopsy report details the brain bleed and fractures to her skull.
Following Zardoya's fall, friend Victoria Silberbusch, who witnessed the deadly event at the Egmont Key location, shared details about the moment when, for their group of vacationing friends, "everything changed."
“At first, we thought Victoria had fallen only one level,” on July 27, Silberbusch posted on Instagram. “We ran to the edge, calling out to her, but quickly realized she had fallen much farther than we first believed.”
She claimed that others called 911 and assisted first responders in finding Zardoya as group members "immediately began climbing down" to aid her.
“We stayed with Victoria and held her, trying to make her as comfortable as possible while we waited for first responders to arrive,” Silberbusch went on. “Paramedics responded by boat, and a medical helicopter was eventually able to transport her to the hospital after an incredibly difficult rescue.”
Since then, Milania, 20, has celebrated Zardoya's life, describing him as a friend who could "walk into a room and light up the entire place."
“Victoria was genuinely the life of the party,” on September 11, Milania posted on Instagram. “She loved being surrounded by her friends, having fun, listening to music, going to concerts, going to Tampa, and making memories.”
And following a long-lasting friendship, she continued, “We got to grow up together, and I will always be grateful for every memory we made.”
