What's behind the feud between Nicki Minaj and SZA? Breaking down the conflict.
The good times for SZA and Nicki Minaj appear to be coming to an end. SZA retaliated with her own harsh response after the "Super Bass" rapper made fun of the "Snooze" singer in a slew of provocative tweets.
But the beef did not begin there. Although Punch is also signed to SZA's Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) label, Nicki first criticized him for reportedly "bullying me on Twitter for no reason." (Press has not yet responded to the accusations in public.)
"So glad I have proof of being bullied by AND being lied on by a man PUBLICLY," In a comment posted on X on July 15, Nicki, 42, "on a platform I use for my JOB; after I rejected his business proposition on more than one occasion."

The 35-year-old SZA posted a mysterious comment on the platform shortly after her tirade against Punch, saying, "Mercury retrograde.. do not take the bait lol silly goose."
In response to the message, Nicki said, "Go draw your freckles back on bookie," accusing the "Kill Bill" singer of subtweeting her without naming a specific person.
SZA's appearance was further criticized by the "Super Bass" MC in a series of follow-up messages. "B---h looking & sounding like she got stung by a f--king bee," In one post on X, Nicki said. "Dot dot dot Draws on my fake freckles."
And the rapper was not just upset with SZA's appearance. Nicki also questioned the singer's artistic accomplishments, pointing out that her 2022 SOS album recently set a record by becoming nine times platinum in less than three years. SZA surpassed Michael Jackson's previous record by becoming the only Black artist to spend more than 80 weeks in the Billboard 200's Top 10 chart.
"B---h put out a whole new album as a deluxe to an already existing album that was out for like a year or 2 so the original album could break records," on the feat, Nicki said. "Like what in the insecure lack of morals & integrity you doing? I thought she was like a real artist? Girl bye."
SZA did not reply to Nicki directly after the charges. She did, however, express her strong feelings when a fan forewarned her that Nicki's fan base, known as "the Barbz," would begin attacking her.
"I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl shows me REAL love. IN REAL LIFE," on July 15, SZA wrote on X. "My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been. GET SOME F--KING PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!"
