Do not be disappointed whenever I share those nice speeches from our Vice President complaining how over-regulations, taxes, etc are killing businesses and our economy. Some prefer that I do not attack him since I always write nice things about him (he is amazing, the kind of guy you will like to have dinner with).
But I see it as an irony that a man we all hired to fix problems is constantly complaining about the issues, without getting to work to fix them. I am too old to be worried about contracts, favours, etc from politicians. So, I have my freedom to share my mind: Mr Vice President, we know the issues, and we hired you to FIX them. You do not need to keep reminding us; get them fixed. I say this with ALL RESPECT of course.
You coordinate the economy for the regime, tell the DG to pause that over-regulation or ask your party to amend the applicable Act in the parliament; you have the power to help these SMEs and move things.
“We have to take a second look at how we regulate; over-regulation is killing businesses; it kills investments; an agric exporter can’t export perishable produce after months… Because our certification processes are slow, others from outside nations-from neighbouring countries based on an ECOWAS agreement–with faster processes can bring their products and sell here, while our own businesses are still on the queues of regulatory agencies,” Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo
The Federal Government of Nigeria liked the pilots. The government saw engineering baked with market awareness. They visited our office and it was APPROVED. So, in the Nigerian federal budget, you will see Lafiya Telehealth devices and technologies therein. Our goal is to become the most important telehealth company in Africa, and we’re building sensors, kiosks, satellite systems, software, etc to make that possible.
This is a Cloud Hospital and we give you the capacity to set up a “hospital” in hours. LaFiya TeleHealth Kiosk takes geography out of healthcare services. Yes, where your doctor lives has been abstracted out. With Lafiya in your church, mosque, Wuse market, office, etc, he/she can still support you in real time. We did three core things: satellite connectivity, solar power, and proprietary healthtech engines.
We loaded this device with the following, among others:
12 lead ECG, URT (Urine Routine) & GLU (Glucose).
UA (Uric Acid) & Blood Lipid (TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, TCHO).
WBC Analyzer & WBC strip 100pcs/bottle for 100 persons..
ETC
When you see the Lafiya Telehealth Kiosk in your locality, protect it. It is the best deal for rural healthcare delivery. If you walk inside it, you are practically in an unbounded number of clinics because doctors anywhere can help you.
