This store has been looking for workers. Unfortunately, it could not find people to hire. So, it has to close! I have never seen anything like this before: companies are folding because they cannot find workers. A Nigerian friend who runs a restaurant in Chicago has closed the business. Another who runs a healthcare company in Michigan, the same fate. Why? No workers to hire. McDonalds is even advertising at $22/hour despite years of arguing that paying $14 was not possible. Yet, even at $22/hr, people are not applying!
We can call it the after-effect of Covid-19 (people saved money while at home), massive US government stimulus, etc, but one thing is evident: the US is in an employee-market where opportunities are available for young people.
Of course, if you know how to make coffee very well, Starbucks will train you with 100% scholarship in a university.
