Trump is moving super fast as he remakes America in his own ways. Now, he has visited the wealth visa which allows people with change to get US green cards, and then US citizenship, by investing in the country: “In a dramatic shift in U.S. immigration policy, President Donald Trump announced a new, exclusive path to U.S. citizenship—a $5 million ‘gold card’—aimed at attracting ultra-wealthy investors.”
From Trump’s mouth: ‘“We’re going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million, and that’s going to give you [permanent resident] Green Card privileges, plus it’s going to be a route to citizenship,” Trump explained. “It’s somewhat like a Green Card, but at a higher level of sophistication.”’

What he did in Ukraine, closing a deal with Ukraine for minerals, was asymmetric that I could not understand how a human being could win left and right that way. Ukraine as a result of that deal will not just lose parts of its lands and thousands of young men and women, but now parts of its future. And yet “No NATO” or US security guarantee! How would they explain what happened to their grandkids?

With Trump, it is wait and see, because if you bet against him, you might be wrong. He says he does deals all his life, and he has been busy doing so. Who has followed multiple near collapse of Israel-Hamas ceasefire? Even when either Israel or Hamas wants to botch things, they still remember that there’s a Trump somewhere, and the first phase of that ceasefire is coming to a successful conclusion this weekend. Expect the second phase to be successfully negotiated, because Trump likes recording wins, he’s not there to preach ineffectual sermons.
For the Ukraine mineral deal, I already said previously that Zelensky doesn’t decide anything, that he would come to accept whatever the big guys finally agree on. Those who think there’s another way to end the war are obviously not capable of getting things done. The security guarantee Zelensky wants for Ukraine isn’t really necessary, because the mineral deal is the security. Once the US secures access to the minerals, Russia cannot invade or take the land, because that would mean threatening the US interest. You know what that means.
