A fresh voice has triumphed. The Voice's 28th season winner, Aiden Ross of Niall Horan's team, solidifies the former One Direction member's legacy. After all, Niall has won his first three seasons and is currently the only coach to go unbeaten.
"You're a really down-to-earth, lovely guy who’s gifted,” at the episode, Niall informed Aiden. “I wish you the best, bud.”
What has Aiden learned from his mentor throughout the course of the season? The 20-year-old stated earlier in the program, "The most important thing he's taught me is to love what I'm doing and be glad that I'm doing it." “Love you, man."
Ralph Edwards, a member of Snoop Dogg's team, was defeated by Aiden, and the two candidates went on to win the two-part finale. Aubrey Nicole from Reba McEntire's team, Jazz McKenzie and Max Chambers from Michael Bublé's team, and Dek of Hearts from Team Niall were among the other finalists.
"Golden Hour" by JVKE and, fittingly, "The Winner Takes It All" by ABBA were among Aiden's triumphant final performances. Additionally, he sang a duet of "Last Christmas" with Gina Miles, another Team Niall winner from season 23.
After the Dec. 16 final, Aiden paused to consider his victory that would change his life.
“I’m at a loss for words,” on Instagram, he added. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am filled with so much joy and gratitude. I’ve had the time of my life performing for you all this season, and I am beyond honored to be the Season 28 winner of The Voice.”
He went on, “I’ve grown so much as an individual and an artist, met some of my best friends, and learned from the very best in the industry.”
He also pledged to do much more. (After all, he now has a record deal with Universal Music Group and a hefty financial reward.)
“Thank you for following my journey,” he came to a conclusion. “This is just the beginning.”
Niall was also ecstatic at his team's victory, posting, "So proud of @aidenrossmusic!!!" on his Instagram Story.
