Bijou Phillips is currently in the hospital, waiting to receive a kidney transplant.
Bijou Phillips is dealing with a frightening health issue. According to her representative, who spoke to TMZ, the 45-year-old is presently receiving treatment at UCLA Health, where she is receiving dialysis and requires a second kidney transplant.
The revelation was also posted on Instagram by Bijou, who is the mother of 11-year-old daughter Fianna with her ex-husband Danny Masterson, who said, "I need help finding a kidney."
“I’m asking as a friend, a sister, an aunt,” she added, “and, most importantly, a single mother to an incredible and brave daughter.”

She also talked more about her background, stating that she was born with weak kidneys and received dialysis for three months while in the NICU.
“In 2017, I received the incredible gift of a kidney from a dear friend,” she penned. “That transplant gave me 8 precious years to be a mother to my daughter—but I have had many complications since, including the BK virus which led to both a cellular and antibody rejection.”
Bijou offered details about how to become a donor along with the name of her doctor, Dr. Anjay Rastogi.
She said, "Time is of the essence," and thanked the audience for their support. “Please help me find a living donor so that I can have more time with my daughter, family, and friends.”
The message was accompanied by pictures of Bijou and Fianna together, one of an adult Fianna and her mother sharing a tender kiss and the other of her newborn daughter laying on her bosom.
Though Bijou rarely posts pictures of her daughter on social media, the Almost Famous alumna took a significant step in October when she submitted a petition to legally change Fianna's last name from Masterson to Phillips.
News agencies at the time were able to get the petition, which was filed while Danny was inside serving a 30-year to life sentence following his 2023 conviction on two charges of rape. In the same year, Bijou filed for divorce from the former cast member of That '70s Show.
After a year, she informed news organizations, “I'm doing good,” noting she and Fianna make a “great little team.”
In order for her and Fianna to remain the ideal couple, Bijou is looking for a new kidney.
