The family of Snoop Dogg is dealing with a devastating loss. Cori Broadus, Snoop's daughter, said on January 31 that her and fiancé Wayne Deuce's 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, who was born three months early, passed away on January 26, barely twenty days after returning from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Cori posted on her Instagram Story, "Monday, I lost the love of my life," and included a picture of herself with her little daughter. "My Codi."
Additionally, Wayne honored his late daughter by stating in his own Instagram Story post, "I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you."
Cori posted video of Codi after leaving the hospital only three weeks ago.
"She’s home," the 26-year-old wrote a message on her Instagram photo from January 6. "Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all."
After giving birth at 25 weeks, Cori announced Codi's arrival in February of last year.
"The princess arrived at 6 months," at the moment, Cori posted on Instagram. "I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!"
"Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!!" Cori added. "Thank You God for getting me this far."
The family has continued to update fans on Codi's journey ever since.
As part of NICU Awareness Month in September, Cori posted a video of herself and her infant daughter.
"Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story," on Instagram, she remarked. "I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day."
