DJ Young Slade, 27, the son of rapper Lil Jon, has been reported missing in Georgia.

Lil Jon is trying to find his son. The Milton Police Department issued a missing person alert on February 3rd, stating that DJ Young Slade (born Nathan Smith) had been reported missing in Georgia.

The alert states that the 27-year-old may be "disoriented and in need of assistance" and that the "Turn Down for What" rapper's kid fled his home on foot prior to his abduction without a phone.

Lil Jon (actual name Jonathan H. Smith) and his family expressed their hope for Nathan's safe return in a message to media outlets on February 4.

“The family is asking for privacy at this time,” it said as much. “We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe.”

While the Milton Police Department verified DJ Young Slade is still missing, several outlets have contacted his manager but have not received a response.

DJ Young Slade, like his father, had a passion for music from an early age, which inspired him to become a professional musician.

“I remember changing his diapers, he couldn’t even talk yet, couldn’t walk yet, crawling around and coming in the back when I’m making music and hitting on the drum pads,” in 2017, Lil Jon informed Paste magazine “and now he’s producing his own music in the Clive Davis program at NYU.”

The Grammy winner, however, refrained from claiming credit for the DJ's entry into the music industry, pointing out that his son's technical skills were largely honed at college.

“He really knows how to engineer, and his stuff sounds really good,” at that point, he gushed. “So, with him and these kids, it’s amazing to see those ideas and see people grow.”

Even while Lil Jon's successes, including "Get Low," have remained party favorites throughout the years, the 55-year-old acknowledged that his kid was picky about which songs to include on his personal playlists.

“He knows it's one of those songs you have to play,” in 2024, he tells OK magazine. “We haven't talked about how he feels about it, but I'm sure he likes it.”
