How Oliver Hudson Makes Sure His Kids Don’t Grow Up Entitled.

Oliver Hudson took from the greatest when it came to parenting. The presenter of the Sibling Revelry podcast shared how he and his siblings, Kate Hudson, Boston Russell, and Wyatt Russell, were brought up by Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell to maintain order while growing up in Hollywood.
“It starts within the four walls of your home,” in an exclusive interview at Make-A-Wish's annual Wish Gala in Los Angeles on December 5, Oliver, 49, informed news reporters. “It doesn't matter what any outside perspective is, how famous you are, how much money you have. When it's just you and your family is what really matters.”
The Happy Gilmore 2 star praised Goldie, 80, and Kurt, 74, for their parenting, saying it was "very important for them not to have entitled children." At the occasion, he gave his mother the Power of a Wish Award.
Oliver, whose real father is Bill Hudson, has also followed his parents' lead in raising his own family as a father to Wilder, 18, Bodhi, 15, and Rio, 12, with wife Erinn Bartlett.
“Now I can pass that along to my babies as well, taking from what Katie and I, and Wyatt in Boston, have learned as children,” he went on. “To be able to implement those strategies and feelings into our own children... All of the things that you see, all of the cameras and all the flashes, that's all BS.”
It appears that Goldie has taught her children more than just moral principles. She implied that her grandchildren might follow in her footsteps, even if Oliver and Kate have already done so.
“I don’t think we have a choice, frankly,” in their August joint interview with Rio and Oliver, Goldie revealed this to Access Hollywood. “Same with Kate. I didn’t have a choice, and I think this one, we don't have a choice.”
Oliver was emphatic about avoiding thrusting his daughter into the spotlight, even if he also emphasized her innate talent.
“She’s an amazing dancer, she loves to perform, it’s in her genes,” prior continuing, he informed the outlet, “We’re gonna do plays first.”
Rio will undoubtedly have a solid support network if she chooses to take on the family business.
