On the Upper East Side, Eleanor Waldorf was seen bumping with Serena Van Der Woodsen. Gossip Girl actress Margaret Colin, who portrayed Blair Waldorf's mother, recently shared that she had a "really wild" reunion with her former co-star Blake Lively, adding that the encounter was completely coincidental.
"I ran into Blake on the street, which was hysterical because she’s such a big star now," in an interview that was published on November 18, the 67-year-old informed Us Weekly. "It was a big bear hug on the streets of New York, and she was just having lunch in a cafe."
The fact that Margaret had only recently returned to the Big Apple added to the surprise.

"That was a couple of months ago after I came back from shooting in Vancouver,” she stated. “What are the odds?”
Margaret also shed light on the topics the two talked about during their meeting, stating, "She is a happy mom, and she is doing really good."
Since the CW drama concluded in 2012 after six seasons, Blake is not the only member of the Gossip Girl ensemble that she has reconnected with.
Margaret added that soon after the actress and her husband, Adam Brody, welcomed their 10-year-old daughter, Arlo, into the world in 2015, she spent time with Leighton Meester, who played Blair.
"I spent an afternoon meeting her baby and meeting her husband years ago," the actress who played the First Daughter recalls, "when there was just the one [kid]."
Since then, Leighton and Adam have achieved a number of other significant life events together, such as the birth of their 5-year-old son in 2020 and their roles as co-stars on the well-liked Netflix series Nobody Wants This.
Margaret is pleased to see her on-screen daughter succeed even though she may not see her as frequently as she once did.
"[Leighton] looks great," Margaret opens up. "I was really lucky that I got to work with her so much. She’s a great gal."
