One of the Big Brother family members is going through a medical emergency. According to a GoFundMe page created to pay for her medical expenses, Mickey Lee, who starred in the 27th season of the CBS reality show earlier this year, has experienced a "series of cardiac arrests"—a condition in which the heart stops beating.
"We're coming together with heavy hearts to ask for your support,” Mickey is in "critical but stable condition" when admitted to an intensive care unit, according to the description written by the fundraiser's organizer, Kori Smith. "She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging."
Describing the Atlanta-based event curator as a "vibrant" spirit, Kori continued, "Mickey has touched so many lives through her courage, bold personality and unforgettable presence on Big Brother. Let’s show her the same love and support now when she needs it most."
Three months after being kicked out of the Big Brother home, the 35-year-old's hospitalization was made public. After 59 days in the competition, she was eliminated on September 4.
In the end, Ashley Hollis defeated Vince Panaro, who garnered just one vote out of seven from the jury, to win season 27.
"The Micktator lived, laughed, blinked, and left her mark … and what a ride it’s been," at the season finale on September 28, Mickey posted a message on Instagram. "Tonight, it all comes to an end, but the memories, the growth, and the love I’ve felt from all of you will stay with me forever."
In a message to her followers, she went on, "From the edits to the messages to the endless support, y’all made this journey even more special. Thank you for seeing me, rooting for me, and rocking with me every step of the way."
Mickey went on to say, "This may be the finale, but it’s only the beginning of what’s next."
