Selena Gomez expresses her dream of becoming a mom "one day" following Benny Blanco's wedding.

Selena Gomez hopes her life will follow in the footsteps of her enchanted art. Following Wizards Beyond Waverly Place's season two conclusion, the actress, who wed Benny Blanco in September, responded to her character's storyline by expressing her desire to have children.

“Alex Russo is a mommy,” on October 9, Selena revealed on a video to her Instagram Story. “Hopefully one day that’ll be me.”

Soon after it was discovered that Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) was Selena's kid, Alex sacrificed herself to close a gateway that would cause an apocalypse in the stunning season finale.

Although Selena, 33, is not yet a mother, she has previously discussed the challenges she has experienced due to her health issues and has been forthright about her wish to start a family.

"I haven’t ever said this ... but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children," in a September 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Selena revealed. "I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the babies in jeopardy."

She went on to say these things "was something I had to grieve for a while."

Selena and Benny, who started dating in 2023, are hopeful about having a family on their own, on their terms, despite her health difficulties.

“I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children,” the “Younger and Hotter Than Me” singer stated on the Jay Shetty podcast in March. “I love making [children] laugh; they're just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”

In fact, Selena has considered how becoming a mother will affect her work and how she handles her notoriety as she envisions her future in that role.

“I think that will happen more so when I have kids,” in September, Selena spoke on the Good Hang podcast. “I’ll put my boundaries up for the sake of the sanity. What that will look like? I have no idea.”

She went on, “I feel like I owe a lot of people in the world any sort of smile, hug or picture. So, it’s very hard. In general, it’s a lot because I love doing it.”
