Evrica Events Is The Event Management System for Africa – A Product of Garage48

0

First, this Garage48 creation is up to business. The website is running and it has a clear plan to transition into a full-blown company. Yet, we caution that they can focus on Nigeria before they plan to move international. We noticed all the countries they plan to be. While being in Sierra Leone is exciting, it is just 4m people. Getting few streets in Lagos will take care of that. Nigeria is 1/5 of Africa’s population. Any business that does well there and capture 30% of its market may be better than all the other West African markets combined. Guys, you have the meat in Lagos. Get it done there before venturing out!

Software Training Institute Coming To Lagos Soon – Get Ready for Software Dev. Clustering

1

The government of Lagos State, Nigeria plans to build a software training institute to enable the facilitation of a high quality software industry in the nation. This will create jobs and transform more youth into entrepreneurs.  They anticipate that this will save cost by providing quality software that can be produced locally. Nigeria purchases most of its software abroad.

This is moving in the right direction as the nation will surely experience a massive need in this sector as broadband penetrates and its cost drops.  The Lagos State Commissioner for Science & Technology, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat disclosed this at a press briefing as they commemorated the fourth year governorship anniversary of  Babatunde Raji Fashola.

A software institute will surely transform most of the young graduates, not just the youth, into creators of labor and not job seekers. It will also enhance the possibility of a tech cluster around Lagos in this sector as more companies will surely come to tap the expertise and skills of the graduates.
